DPS is excited to announce the release of DPS AdTracker:Online (ATOLv7) February 2024 AI Update!

 

We’ve taken feedback from all our customers to put together this update.  As has been our goal, we’re injecting Artificial Intelligence (AI) where it makes sense in the product for your users to get the maximum benefit – both in increasing productivity and reducing errors.

 

We’ve also added some new features for Sales Support Teams.

 

Finally, we’d like to offer your company free virtual training on ATOL for the whole workflow – including features you may not have deployed.

 

While there are many small changes under the surface, none require formal training to use.  We’ll detail the main changes below:

 

Missing Pickup Warning / AI Pickup Detection

Easily Request Materials and Send Proofs

Use Generative AI to write better Ad Copy

Better detection of files uploaded from Cloud Storage

Allow Internal Staff to place ads on HOLD with NOTES

Missed Pickup Opportunities

We’ve heard lots of customers tell us that users sometimes don’t perform pickups properly.  They forget to do some step in the pickup and then the pickup doesn’t occur.  This frustrates the customer/advertiser and results in extra work by the ad trafficking/design team.

 

We’ve added a warning if a user doesn’t properly complete the pickup process:

 

 

We’re also trapping where the user may be typing pickup information into the instructions INSTEAD OF using the pickup tool.  Had the user used the pickup tool, the pickup would be automatic.  If work was required, the designer would already have all the pieces they need, rather than having to spend time finding those pieces.

 

 

Use AI to help write better Ad Copy

Building on the success of our DPS AdTracker:AI Ad Copy Assistant for Designers, we’ve extended this functionality to Salespeople and Advertisers.  While submitting ad copy, they can click “Ad Copy Assistant” for help.  You can edit the generated content when you click SELECT.

 

 

 

 

 

Detecting Problem Cloud File Uploads/0KB Uploads

Salespeople and Advertisers are increasingly using “On Demand” Synced Cloud Storage from Microsoft OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox, and others.  When they use their platform’s “On Demand Sync”, sometimes the file does not actually reside on their device.  This results in their web browser uploading 0KB (empty) file.  To your design team, this looks like ATOL failed.  In actuality, the user uploaded a file that had no content.  We’ve added checks to warn the user when they click the final SUBMIT if the file isn’t synced.  Often they just need to open the file on their computer to fix this problem – then repeat the upload.

 

 

 

Request Materials and Send Proofs with ease

While not an entirely new feature, we’ve enhanced this one.  A lot of our customers aren’t aware that they can both request materials and send proofs right from ATOL.  They incorrectly believe this means the system will automatically always e-mail them.  The system will not automatically e-mail your advertisers unless you tell it to.  The default is to have it all send with a custom message from you.

 

From the CONTACTS tab of an ad, you can create a NEW CUSTOMER CONTACT, request materials/send proof, update their contact information, or send them a password reset e-mail.

 

 

Clicking on the ENVELOPE icon will start a customized e-mail from you to them.  You can choose to either SEND PROOF or SEND MATERIALS REQUEST.  The system will automatically send them a link to do what you’ve asked without needing to know a username or password.

 

 

This generates a customized e-mail that comes from you that they can either click the link on or reply to.  If they click the link, they will supply everything directly to ATOL.  If they e-mail you back instead, you’ll need to add the files to ATOL.

Allow users with Status Change access to place ads on HOLD

Some customers choose to allow select users the ability to change the status on ads.  This list is often a small subset of statuses.  You can now extend HOLD or a HOLD-like status to the pulldown.  Using this status, not only can they place the ad on hold, but they can also supply the reason why.  This HOLD does not send any e-mail, as it’s an INTERNAL HOLD.  It only records to HISTORY.  This works identically to the usual HOLD where RESOLVE HOLD clears it.

 

 

 

 

Advertiser Specific Account Notes for SALES ONLY

Sometimes Sales needs to make account notes just for other Salespeople and their Sales Support Teams.  ATOL now allows for the creation of SALES ONLY Account Notes.  These notes will appear in any ad with the same customer account number.  The notes are not visible by designers.  They are solely for the Salespeople and their Sales Support Teams.

 

 

 

Impersonate a User to help Support them

While not an entirely new feature, we’ve enhanced this one.  A lot of our customers aren’t aware that they tell DPS that select users should be allowed to IMPERSONATE another user.  By selecting this choice, it will login and allow you to act as that user.  This is useful when helping them or trying to recreate a problem.

 

 

If you do not see this menu choice, log a ticket with DPS Support indicating which ATOL User IDs that are already an administrator should be allowed to use the Impersonate User function.

 

 

Offer for FREE VIRTUAL TRAINING

If your company is interested, we’re glad to provide a virtual training session to review the complete functionality of ATOL and how you can use the tools within it to streamline your operation.  We would run one session to cover topics with whoever manages your system on-site.  From there, with that meeting as guidance, we would run a virtual training session that you can open all of your users to.

 

There is NO CHARGE for this.  We feel strongly that customers should review what tools are available and see if there is a benefit to rolling out additional features.  Often times customers are so busy during launch that they do not have time to evaluate everything at that time.  We’ve also added a lot of functionality since each customer’s launch.
